Easy Christmas Tablescape

How is it so close to Christmas already? I feel like we all just got finished with the Thanksgiving dishes. I know this year it crept up super fast with only 3 weeks between the holidays. I usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to put up all the Christmas decor but this year I put it up about 10 days before Thanksgiving to make it worth all the time putting it up! I needed more than 3 weeks of enjoyment out of it.

This is a super simple tablescape idea. I love tables with all the plates, goblets, flatware, centerpieces, etc, etc, etc. but

1) I don't own fancy goblets and flatware

2) I wanted to keep it clean, crisp & festive.

3) We don't host Christmas so they would all just be collecting dust. lol.

So let's break it down:

The candle sticks I keep up year round so all I did was weave 2-thin Christmas garlands I got at Michaels in and out of the candlesticks. I added 2 metal reindeer from Hobby Lobby at the ends to add height to it and "cap" off the garlands. (I got the garland and reindeer a couple years ago so I didn't link them)

Next, I found these cute plaid plastic chargers at Michaels, napkins from Homegoods, gray plates I had for a while from Williams Sonoma I think, I can't quite remember. The pretty little Christmas snack plates I found on Wayfair

You don't have to get super fancy with your tablescape. My 3 top tips for a great tablescape is:

1) Add greenery or flowers for "softness"

2) Candles are ALWAYS a must- buy unscented if you'll light them for dinner.

3) Have pops of color to keep it festive & fun.

I love the traditional red & green look. It's reminds Andy and I of our childhood so we have carried that through as adults. Christmas is about memories...both looking back on them and creating new ones. Your Christmas doesn't have to be a "Pinterest Christmas" it needs you be "Your Christmas". If Christmas means stale popcorn tins and Hallmark movies- live it! If it means fancy dinners and long gowns...live it. These memories are yours and yours alone. :)

I'd love to see your tablescapes! Show them off and tag #FitHomeAndHealth so I can check them out!

Merry Christmas!
